Within the vineyards of Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley and Carneros in Napa Valley, the Madness and Cures team discovered beautiful grapes. Each appellation offers unique components to the wine which we feel makes this 2019 vintage special. The 2019 Sanity Red grapes were picked at the optimal time of maturity and fermented for 15-19 days with punch-downs twice daily until pressing. Yeast was employed to maximize fruit character and to preserve varietal specificity. After settling the wines were aged in French oak barrels (10% New, 90% Neutral) for 22 months to allow the tannins to mature and integrate with the oak notes. The finished wine is a tonic that is bursting with exciting flavors, a guaranteed remedy for the madness of mediocrity.
