In the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County, the Madness and Cures trio discovered small vineyards that produced vibrant and exciting fruit. The 2016 Sanity Red Blend grapes were picked at the peak of maturity and fermented for 15-19 days with punch-downs twice daily until pressing. Native yeasts were employed to maintain the unique character of the vineyard sites. After settling the wines were aged in French oak barrels (20% new, 80% neutral) for 30 months to allow the tannins to mature and integrate with oak notes. The finished wine, Sanity Red Blend, is a potent potion with enough flavor and verve to cure the madness of mediocrity.
